Two New Journeys...

First I (we) have GREAT news! I am currently 20 weeks pregnant w/ our second baby. We find out whether its a girl or boy 7/11/09! We're kind of hoping for a girl. I'll definitely update when I have time.

Now for the bad news... I found out 7/7/09 through a biopsy that I have a form of breast cancer. As of right now I'm not entirely sure what type, how bad, prognosis, etc. However, the wheels are turning so that I can go down to MD Anderson for assessment and treatment. The way is being paved by prayers from my family & friends. Thanks guys! When I have time, I'll update all this information as well!

Here's an article about pregnancy & breast cancer - just to give some extra information!

Simon at 16 months

Yesterday, after playing outside in the garden for a while, Simon came in to play with his toys. We (Andrew, Simon, & I) all got involved in a 'stamp war' - as you can see on his hands, arms, legs, feet, and face. Needless to say, based on his expression, Simon wasn't harmed at all during our war! In fact, he loved it and continuously begs for more!

Simon's 13 months

Simon had a pretty bad diaper rash last week. As part of his treatment I was letting him run around the house w/o his clothes or diaper on. Our living room has the only carpet in the house, the dining room & kitchen (open floor plan) have laminate wood flooring. As he's running around naked, he goes into the dining room. The next thing I hear is a big thump & him crying. I go into the dining room to see what happened & he had slipped in the puddle of pee he made on the laminate floor. I cleaned him up and called it quits for the night. The next day, I stripped him down again and let him run around. This time, I blocked the kitchen & dining room off w/ baby gates. He walked up to the gate & peed through it onto the laminate floor. He's definitely going to be writing his name in the snow in a couple years!
